Woofing: Our farmstay in a few words
🌿Suwan Organic Farmstay is a kind of farm-inn, a place of exchange, an opportunity to immerse yourself in the Siamese rural world, to experience the realities of the benefits of a farm that respects natural cycles and the environment, an opportunity to discover another age-old culture rich in lessons.
🌿Want to learn and contribute to environmentally friendly agriculture? Suwan Organic Farmstay opens its doors to you for an enriching woofing adventure!
🌿So the concept is very simple, you benefit from a very preferential rate in exchange for an immersion of a few hours per day within our farm, with food included.
🌿The main goal is to introduce you to permaculture in our edible forest, to introduce you to natural construction (earth/straw) and all forms of environmentally friendly organic farming such as Natural farming. It is certain that some techniques differ from those used in more temperate zones. But in the end, the result is the same, the production of healthy and natural products that will be part of your daily diet.
🌿As you will be able to discover through the photos and testimonials, we make a point of honor to favor comfort. The emphasis is also placed on the friendly, even family, spirit of our reception structure.
🌿Another essential element, a must for Thais, the pleasure of the table and of course the quality of the dishes offered. For this either, you will not be disappointed, there are also quite a few testimonials to this effect. Thai or European cuisine, prepared with fresh and organic products from our farm, here is something to delight everyone’s palates.

Discover and learn food autonomy
Living self-sufficiently means having the pleasure of running around our organic farm to find something for dinner instead of running to the supermarket.
Being self-sufficient means using the land and resources available to create an environment that is completely self-sufficient or at least as close to it as possible.
In the rainy season we are not yet able to be totally self-sufficient.
This kind of life can encompass several areas, from construction & eco-construction to energy use and food.
Some people start to become self-sufficient for economic reasons, while others focus on a healthy lifestyle where they live. Becoming self-sufficient takes effort, patience and determination, but the rewards are worth it.

Woofing in Thailand at Suwan Organic Farmstay
Some will talk about eco-tourism, agro-tourism or farm tourism, but I believe that the term woofing is much closer to what we offer in terms of hospitality, friendliness, comfort, adaptability, diversity, freedom, sharing and experiences.
Let me tell you about our Woofing in Thailand, because it differs a little from what you might find elsewhere, our desire being to adapt this concept to our values and the rules of this country.
The concept is simple, an attractive price that includes comfortable accommodation, quality meals and access to a number of activities according to your desires.
You participate in the life of our organic farm, in the fields and with the animals: and in the different workshops according to your abilities, your desires, your interests.
We offer sustainable, hands-on, hands-on learning for enthusiasts who are genuinely interested in organic farming and sustainable lifestyles, you won’t just learn from theory… You’re in nature, not in a classroom or in front of your computer…
We emphasize stress-free stays, impeccable hospitality and food, a natural, peaceful environment and simple and rewarding human relations.
We believe that Woofing is above all a committed vacation, and not a cheap vacation.

A table à la Suwan Organic Farmstay
As you’ll see from our photos and guest testimonials, we take great pride in offering comfort and a welcoming, family-style atmosphere. Another essential part of Thai life — and of every stay with us — is, of course, the joy of good food. And here, you certainly won’t be disappointed! Many of our guests mention our meals as one of the highlights of their visit. Whether you prefer Thai or European cuisine, all our dishes are home-cooked with fresh, organic ingredients from our very own farm — a true delight for every palate.

Protection of biodiversity

One of the essential first steps for organic farming and self-sufficiency is to produce healthy and reproducible seeds!
Seeds are essential for humanity as they are the first step in the production of food. When they have been improved thanks to the intervention of the peasants, taking into account the particular local conditions, these seeds represent the cultural value of the traditions, knowledge and know-how on the use of biodiversity.

For our part, we of course work mainly with fertile organic seeds, thanks among other things to the partnership set up with the Kokopelli association… We produce winged peas seedsOur winged pea seeds for the Seeds Without Borders campaign, in return we receive vegetable seeds every year, we make a “fair trade”
What we also appreciate is receiving seeds from our visitors in order to increase the biodiversity of the farm. We appreciate it when our hosts bring seeds from their home country or from a country they have visited.
Sharing can also be done through what you bring… It’s a pleasure for us to have trees, flowers, vegetables from all over the world!
This exchange is of course a plus, and in no way an obligation.
